I'm putting together a display of medicinal/edible herbs for the Shambhala festival this year.
I'm looking for recommendations for plants to be included in the display, to be included on lists to be distributed regionally for sample collection. I'm mostly concerned with the Pacific Northwest, the coast and interior of BC, and the southern Prairies of Alberta, although I'm considering plants from any bioregion.
Any links to online resources or personal suggestions would be appreciated.
Remember, this is a good chance to introduce a lot of people to the wealth of vegetative resources in the natural world, who might otherwise never know about them.

Re: Advice on Regional Medicinal and Edible Plant listings
Tue, July 26, 2005 - 10:48 PMMichael Moore's book "Medicinal Plants of the Pacific Northwest" might help you out a bit. He also has a website called www.swsbm.com (I think!!!). Here he lists information on medicinal plants and where to find them. Good luck!
